Consulting Services

 

1. Scientific writing: this includes articles for the biotech trade press, articles on scientific topics for a general audience, peer-review scientific manuscripts (in select fields of my expertise), book chapters and other extended reviews of specific areas (molecular immunology, bioprocessing, nanotechnology, environmental issues), design and construction of posters for presentations at meetings.
2. Speaking engagements: Presentations on topics of general interest (nanotechnology, cloning, stem cell technology, ageing research, science and public policy, environmental issues). Extensive use of power point and multi media techniques
3. Grant proposals, peer review of grants and other manuscripts. At present I am a grant reviewer for the Maine Technology Institute. I have written many funded grants over the years in the areas of cell and molecular biology and immunodiagnostics.
4. Biosafety consulting: I am Chairman of the Meridian Biosciences/Life Sciences Institutional Biosafety Committee and I am a member of the Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center Institutional Biosafety Committee. I provide consulting and advisory services in the area of recombinant DNA safety regulation.
5. Translation Services: I am fluent in the Italian language and offer my scientific and linguistic skills in the interpretation of conversational and written Italian.
